Product Description
In Shanghai a cotton mill worker named Sufen was in love with a night school teacher Zhang Zhongliang. Zhongliang left Shanghai and joined the anti-Japanese rescue team. Sufen had to go to the refugee camp with her kid and mother-in-law. Zhongliang gave himself up to a life of degeneration and married a party girl called Wang Lizhen. He put Sufen out of his mind totally. After the war, Zhongliang went back to Shanghai and had a fair with Wang Lizhen's sister He Wenyan. In order to make a living, Sufen worked as a servant at He Wenyan's house. At an evening party Sufen recognized Zhongliang and knew the truth. Zhongliang's mother denounced her son scathingly. However, Zhongliang didn't repent his error. Sufen threw herself into a river helplessly.
